This was a very odd week for me. I had two totally unrelated sources refer to my health in ways that gave me the definite impression that I was not long for this world. Odd, because I am not ill, and have been under the care of fine doctors who are monitoring my well being regularly, and whom have not ever even implied that they were unhappy with the way I live and the care that I take with my own health.
It is always amusing to me when people who have never struggled with weight gain or degenerative diseases such as diabetes feel that they have the freedom to instruct others on how they need to live their lives. Never mind that they have no knowledge of what steps are being taken nor how much effort is being put into staying healthy and extending their life as well as anyone can.
My life is full of individuals who are so concerned with what others are doing that they don't see their own faults and shortcomings. Fortunately, I am too busy living my own life to its fullest potential to worry about what others think....
These are poems, stories, and personal commentaries about whatever I am going through in my life at the time. Please feel free to comment on anything that you read, as I love to hear from my readers. All written by Writer M Ray Holloway Jr.

Funny thing, this..... After reading this post, someone actually commented about my diet, which I control very carefully. Not all diabetics deal strictly with hyperglycemia; some struggle equally with hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia at different times. Yes, there are times when I need to avoid eating sweets, but there are also times when what I need most is to bring my blood sugar up because my glucose level is way too low.
