April 26, 2015
April 26th, 2015: I was looking through some stacks down in the basement and found my treasure trove of short stories, outlines and notes on stories that never got completed, and the missing poetry that I have been trying to locate. Much of this material was just musings, journal notes, and personal keepsakes that would mean nothing to anyone except myself, but some of my early poetry was pretty sentimental and thought provoking, so I will probably pick through the stack and reprint some of the better pieces here for your enjoyment. I may even see if I can reproduce some of my attempts at a comic strip called "Mouth" about a wisecracking mouth and his social commentary. I used to post a new comic strip every week at the Pizza Hut for my fellow employees and a couple of regular customers, and they were met with positive comments, and were even looked forward to. Bear in mind that my writing was better than my drawing, so the art was pretty rough.
