I've been away from my blog for a while, but not because I haven't been writing. First of all, Goodreads' Support for Indie Authors is having a book blast for Halloween on Saturday, October 24. More than thirty authors are featured with more than forty FREE books available for download on that day only. There are some great authors involved, including yours truly.
My non-scary ghost story "The Picture of the Ghost" will be available that day at the website www.freebookblast.com. Take advantage of this promotion and get some great reading for your Kindle program.
The other thing that's kept me away from here is that I've been working on my next novel, which is a sci-fi time travel story. It's flowing pretty well, and I'm averaging about 10,000 words per week. I expect to finish my rough draft in the next couple of weeks, and will then dive into the task of editing. My tentative goal is to have it ready to publish by the end of the year, but there is a lot of work that needs to be done still.
I may try to squeeze a new short story in there while I'm doing my editing of the novel. I've got some pretty good ideas that have been developed to one degree or another and could be fleshed out pretty quickly.
It's an exciting time of my life, and I am having a great time. Stay tuned for more developments.
